Launch of a next-generation project bank in the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra Region.
In line with the royal vision outlined in the speech of His Majesty King Mohammed VI during the opening of the first session of the legislative year 2022, which aims to mobilize 550 billion dirhams in investments and create 500,000 jobs by 2026, the Center has completed a study for the preparation of a multisectoral project bank.
This project bank for the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region has compiled over 80 investment opportunities of the new generation, encompassing areas such as the blue and green economy, industry, and services. These opportunities are distributed among 214 projects with an expected investment envelope of 112 billion dirhams. These projects are projected to create over 18,203 direct jobs by 2030, contributing to the qualitative development of the region’s economy. In recent years, the region has witnessed exceptional GDP growth rates, thanks to the dynamism of both public and private investments, and the implementation of the new development model for the southern provinces of the Kingdom.
